Well, now is your chance to show them off and help a great cause at the same time!
Shari Lynn Fine Art Portraits has joined with Vet Pets to host their first ever pet photo calendar contest. Starting on March 11, 2024, pet parents all over the burgh will have the opportunity to enter their beloved pets into the contest for a chance to be one of the top 13 winners featured in the calendar.
But this contest is not just about showcasing adorable pets.
It's also for a good cause.
The goal is to raise $10,000 to provide a service dog to a veteran or first responder in need. By entering your pet into the contest and encouraging your friends and family to vote for them, you will be directly contributing to this important cause.
So, how can you enter your pet into the contest? It's simple! Just visit our website and submit a photo of your furry friend along with a $5 entry fee. Then, share your pet's photo with all your friends and family and encourage them to vote for your pet - at just $1 per vote! All funds collected will go toward helping Vet Pets provide a service dog to a deserving individual.
Not only will you be helping a great cause, but your pet could also win a spot in the calendar and become a local celebrity!

Here's how it works
Who can enter: The contest is open to anyone who has a pet and is interested in helping us help deserving veterans and first responders!
How to enter: To enter the contest, on March 11, 2024 at 8 am, visit the contest website and submit your favorite photo of your pet and encourage your family and friends to vote for them. All entries must follow the Contest Rules to be eligible.
Entry fees: There is a $5 entry fee to enter your pet into the contest. Votes are $1 each with a $5 minimum, and all proceeds will go towards supporting Pa Vet Pets' and their efforts to reduce the rate of suicide among veterans and first responders and help to provide service dogs and training.
Prizes: The top 13 entrants with the most votes will win a spot in the 2025 calendar. The grand prize winner will have their pet featured on the cover, and the 2nd-13th place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month. All 13 winners will also have their pet professionally photographed by Shari Lynn Fine Art Portraits for the calendar.
Purpose: The calendar contest aims to raise funds for Pa Vet Pets' mission of helping veterans and first responders heal through the power of therapy dogs, service dogs, and faith-based wellness groups.
Submission guidelines: All photo entries must follow the Contest Rules, including size and resolution requirements. Photos that do not meet these guidelines will not be eligible to win.
Deadline: The contest ends at midnight on April 19, 2024! So be sure to enter in time to collect lots of votes.
About Pa Vet Pets: Pa Vet Pets is a non-profit organization that provides dog training assistance, mental health wellness activities, and support to veterans and first responders in need. Their volunteers are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for those they serve.
Partner: The calendar contest is being held in partnership with Shari Lynn Fine Art Portraits, a fine art professional portrait studio located South of Pittsburgh in Claysville Pa.

The pet receiving the highesImaget number of new votes each week over the course of the 7 day weekly contest will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses.
Each pet may only win a weekly mini-contest once. In the event of a tie, a random computerized draw will be held between the highest vote getters of the week to determine that week's winner. In the event that there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized draw will be held for all eligible pets.
